I would like to be an extra.
How does one go about doing that?

it's shooting in Arkansas.
not accurate at all ... six to eight series and several films crewing up including the Motley Crue Film, Gambit and many others.

I don't know. I think there could've been a fantastic story in some of the less glamorous areas of Southern California. The execution was just horrible and the story boring.
Yeah, they tried to do some convoluted "China Town" story about LA corruption without the interesting personal story, characters and backdrop. The story needed be more linear and more interesting locations around the greater L.A. area.

The Ozarks has a creepy vibe just like south Louisiana voodoo does. I like it
I drove through the ozarks, and we stopped at a place to get gas and holy shite the people in there sent chills up my spine

You're out because an incredible actor is playing the lead role?

It’s not a fever dream—True Detective Season 3 is really happening, and the cast is growing. While it was unclear if HBO would order another season of the anthology series after Season 2 suffered a critical shellacking, all it took was some time. Now Season 3 is coming together, and in addition to Mahershala Ali and Carmen Ejogo, actor Stephen Dorff has now joined the cast in a co-lead role.

Are Ali and Ejogo the detectives?

Yes. Can’t wait

even someone like Channing Tatum would have been better because he has the accent and is from the south.
No. Just no
Actors can do something called acting and that includes accents

Other cast includes Stephen Dorff, Brandon Flynn, and Scooter McNairy. They've been filming in and around Fayetteville since early February.
I think Dorff will make a pretty decent southern detective. He's shown he can do a Texas accent in a few films. The Arkansas accent (western, northwestern) is not far off from that.
The story is set in three time periods, 1980, mid 1990s, and 2015. They've been filming the 1980s stuff first.
Much of the filming has taken place in south Fayetteville (the old crappier part) and the towns of West Fork and Mountainburg, as well as Devil's Den State Park (caves).

Dorff and Ali are the detectives. Ejogo plays a schoolteacher. The crime involves children.

Glad to see this guy get some work. I thought he had been relegated to electric cigarette commercials.

Definitely has potential. I’m all in for whenever this premiers .

Dorff did a nice little project that you can watch on Amazon, called "Wheeler". He wrote and performed country songs, and then went to Nashville semi-undercover to perform them. It's set up like a documentary about a real person. It's low budget, but not too bad.
The songs (writing and performing) are surprisingly good. With a little dedication he could probably have an actual country singing career.

Here's a little article from a local website asking folks for their TD3 stories. Most people seem to be keeping pretty quiet about it. I actually worked as an extra myself, but I will respect the NDA. Everything I've posted is local common knowledge.

Other known filming locations are S. Duncan Avenue in Fayetteville, AQ Chicken House in Springdale, "Bear's Place" (shown in the link) and the old Mountainburg High School.

If Bottoms Up doesn't manage to appear in this show I shall be sorely disappointed.

I hope they bring back Alexandra Daddario to do another nude scene. I don't care what character she plays. Hell, they could bring her back as the same character from season 1 and just have her wander onto the set like she doesn't know where she is, but have her strip before she walks off camera.
