Can we relax about Canada?

Until we hear something official? Yeah he's looking for a head coach job. I guess we won't be caught off guard if he leaves. But until he OFFICIALLY does, let's not just sit around and melt like he's already gone. I think he understands that if he puts his quarrels with O aside, he's got a playoff caliber team next year if he can develop a QB and a nice fat paycheck. But I'm tired of clicking onto the rant and seeing a whole bunch of negative speculation and poor 2019 predictions... all I ask is that we postpone the melt until he actually leaves. :)

I'm not worried either way yet. Until he shows he can recruit the south I don't think I'm convinced its a fit.

He helped recruit the QB's on the roster. He owes it to them, not to mention he's getting paid more than many neurosurgeons to be here.

It’s only speculation, but Canada has an awful track record of staying put. What’s his longest tenure 2 years?

Same here. It's the same damn people every time time too. They just obsess over ways to try and be miserable and make everyone else miserable as well. Let it all play out and if it all goes to shite...well...then feel free to be outraged.

I suggested this back in October, and people here thought it was crazy talk.
Now that there is no show-cause penalty associated with Freeze, we should at least consider bringing him in as a consultant to our offense or as the OC.

How involved was he with playcalling as OM head coach? He only has one year of OC experience on his resume, that was in 2010 at Arkie State.

I want Canada and his gimmick offense gone. Take a look at Seattle's offense or the ones with Pete Carrol and Lane / Sark ran at SC during Pete's glory years. This is what O wants to run and so do I.

I am relaxed because I don't care. If he gets a HC job then I will wish him well and be happy with someone like Hugh Freese.
