You're right. I haven't noticed any Auburn fans declaring love for the Panthers irl. Just on here.

fwiw I live in Oxford and have for 2 years...I've maybe seen 2 Eli jerseys and that's about it for Giants fans...it just isn't as common in the real world as people on this site think

I've grown up 45 minutes from Oxford in Ole Miss' largest alumni base surrounded by die hard Ole Miss Giants fans.

They obviously popped up more frequently when the Giants were making their super bowl runs, but they are there in large numbers.

I'm not a Tenn fan and I love Peyton. I've always rooted for him in the pros unless it hurt my Cowboys.

Will it be like LSU Cardinals fans?

This question is stupid. Fans follow big time players into the NFL regularly. There really isn't anything wrong with that either.

I mean the whole premise of this thread is idiocy...normal fans don't just switch alliances

This ,but Texas A&M alum will definitely watch Manziel & wish him well.

The NBA wants players to go to college for the free publicity for the young players & casual fans they will attract.

Grant Hill got more MVP votes than anyone as a rookie( including Jordan & Shaq) & I am sure Duke alumni became at
least casual viewers/fans of the Pistons.(Casual fans = more interest & better ratings & $).

I bet hundreds of thousands of LSU fans /alumni became casual fans /viewers of the Orlando Magic as well because of Shaq.

That's why the NBA wants it's players to go to College . Free publicity(college players already stars/superstars like Hill,etc..) & the attraction of a large educated alumni/ casual fan base.

I definitely want him to do well because it means great exposure for the school. I'm not just going to stop rooting for the Texans though

If he goes to Tennessee or Jacksonville I probably won't be rooting for him a whole lot.

No, but I'll root for him to do well. Just like I root for Von Miller (Broncos) Red Bryant (Seahawks) Ryan Tannehill (Dolphins) Cyrus Gray (Chiefs) or any other Aggie in the league.

Hope he lands with one of the Texas franchises, of course, but I wish him and the other Aggies in the draft nothing but the best.

it is a fallacy that Auburn jumped on the Panthers bandwagon just because a few tards on this site did

so people beaver knows is more representative of a fan base than people on a sporting message board. got it
