I got a blue card in an indoor game as a result of it. Their player slammed a girl on our team into the wall. He then made a pass and the guy shot it into my face. The ref then blew the whistle for a foul. I was pissed because I took a shot to the face because he waited to blow his whistle, so I yelled "Took long enough" or something along those lines. Thus the card for dissent.

6'4 170. Played CM all my life up until my senior year in high school. I had to take one for the team and play GK because we had no one else, and ended up being All-District.

Played GK, ST and LM.
Only once for each.
The crotch shot was in warm-ups before a game. Had a teammate with a cannon for a leg that shot a knuckler that nailed me in the crotch. I spent quit a few minutes in the fetal position from that.
During a crossing drill at a soccer camp I took a shot to the face that preceded to go into the goal. Talk about insult to injury.
Played GK, ST and LM.

Edit: I haven't taken many shots off the face, and I've never taken one in the balls (in a game). In practice it happened all the time

I know the feeling. My mom had to drive me back and forth to a town a half-hour away several times a week...just so I could play rec ball.
By the time I got into high school, I just stopped playing altogether in order to play varsity basketball and golf. Wish I could've played those three years.
