No, Im an older frick... I was a kid in the 70s and the youth leagues weren't around like they are today...

plus, the little I did remember amounted to a pack of kids chasing a ball and kicking up dust... I'm sure the coaches consisted of parents who barely knew the sport... I could be wrong.

High Metabolism is a wonderful thing.

Man, most of you grass fairies are short. Fit the stereotype well.

Played RB, but back then, I didn't know shite about soccer, and just called it defense. Absolutely zero ball skills, but I had a motor

5'8" 155 lbs.

Played LB, LCB, or one of two marking backs depending on the system. Would sometimes play sweeper or LM.

Now I play either defense or striker.

I quit after my JR year in high school. Just got back into it about 2 years ago (I'm 25 now). I have definitely gotten out of shape. About to buy insanity.

5'11" 150, high metabolism as well

I didn't start playing till a couple of years ago. When I first started I played RB but now I'm a GK. I played middle infield in baseball till I was 16 so I enjoy diving around and shite. Hardest part of GK is communication with your defense though anyway.

See, all of these taller guys are goalies. I always found that position boring growing up. I want the ball at my feet constantly.

Guess I could be a target forward, but every team I play with wants a speedster up top.

I'll be the only girl in this thread I bet.

5'3" and 115-120. I played sweeper in high school and college intramurals.

I was fast as hell and mean - I took it personally if a forward got past me and got one on one with my keeper.

I'm one of a handful of women who can say they played a sport of the field of The Swamp in Gainesville. That's where we played for the state championship twice.

5'7" (and 3/8") and 175-180, depending on my last meal.

Mid 20s (then) - Arjen Robben (or maybe Shaun Wright-Phillips, given my first touch)
Mid 30s (now) - Pablo Mastroeni

6 Foot. 210 pounds.

Was in midfield most of my youth. Sometimes center, and sometimes R or L (my left foot could cross pretty well for a right footer). As we aged, I was less likely to be in the center due to others having higher technical skills.

I became more of a target/trash forward. High motor. Physical. Ball seemed to fall to me often, which I found was less luck and more positional awareness and moving rather than watching.
