. . . About Restaurants having to post their Health Inspection Results in their Windows? I think NYC, and LA post Letter Grades.

MS does it too and I see no reason why this isn't the norm. People should have the right to know if the place they're dining in is a shite hole in the kitchen.

i don't see why i would. having to post them in the front window may make restaurants more vigilant. can't see where that is a bad thing.

one of my local news stations does a weekly report on inspection results-noting the worst and best scores. i know i've made a point to avoid certain restaurants that tend to get hit.

I would like this, because I eat a lot of Latin and Vietnamese food. Sometimes I wonder what goes on back there. But I find I get sicker when I eat cheap national chains than I do foreign slop shops.

In Alabama I've seen their point system swing 10 plus points because a health inspector was having a bad week or they were making him train a new employee. You can judge a kitchen when you walk in the door or go to the bathroom. If the front is neat and clean then so is the kitchen and vice versa. Nasty and unkept dining room usually equals an unclean kitchen.

I've seen otherwise. That is the Image they want to Project. Behind those doors, many Secrets are kept.

NC makes them post their grades in a visible area. Use by the hostess stand or behind a register.

Number grades anything below 80 fails. I've only seen one below 90. It was a Chinese joint. I didn't eat there.

It's that way here. If they're staying open I've seen 90+ everywhere (that's out of 100).

I like it. It establishes either accountability, or who's paying off the inspectors.
