If you are a resident of Louisiana and bought a fishing license, you receive a tax credit for that amount. (State Taxes)I went from owing $36 to $21 because I bought a license.

(calling my accountant)

So us lifetime license folks are sol on this one?

I would just guess that you can take that credit for the year that you bought it? The thing is there was not a credit for a hunting license, so that may be a problem.
But I am just guessing on this.

Did a quick google search, but didn't see anything on the first page.

I've had mine for 6 years, I guess I'm out.

Every little bit helps.

Awesome. I may buy 3 new baits now.

What about lifetime?
I would take my chances and just tell my accountant to take the $15 credit.

I believe this only applies to active members of the military. I could be wrong though. We don't wanna have another Cynthia Bridges debacle on our hands!
ETA: See below. Y'all didn't think they were gonna cut all us rednecks some slack?
Line 1 – R.S. 47:297.9 allows a refundable credit for 100 percent of
the amount paid by an active or reserve military servicemember, or the
spouse of an active or reserve military servicemember, or the dependent
of such servicemember for obtaining a Louisiana noncommercial hunting
or fishing license. A copy of the noncommercial hunting and/or fishing
license must be submitted to LDR in order to claim the credit.
