Yeah, he really mouthed off there!!!

Give me a break. I'm sure they understand they need to win all of their games.

Nothing in the OP post can even be remotely construed as controversial.

We are all dumber for having read your attempt to make something out of nothing simply because it's Notre Dame and your team isn't.

May god have mercy on your soul.

You do realize that ND had to play its backup QB against BYU, right? Has Kansas State had to play anyone with their backup QB? I'm guessing they would struggle if their #2 had to win a game for them against a solid team.

Oh, and Kansas State needed 2 late TDs to beat North Texas, and needed to rally to beat Iowa State by 6. But yeah, they are much more worthy of a crown. Crown 'em.

The only problem I have with what he said is they still have to play USC at USC. How many times have we seen teams start politicing only to screw up towards the very end.

And if I almost lost to Pitt at home, and beat Stanford with some BS, with probably the hardest game on my schedule yet to play, I'd keep my mouth shut.

Every back up QB in the SEC would struggle against BYU's defense. FACT!

LSU fricking struggled AGAINST AUBURN!!!

AUBURN! The same fricking Auburn team that is a missed fg away from being 0-fer. Now get the frick out with this team almost lost to that team, and this team struggled with that team.

No doubt they could easily lose to USC, but he seemed like he was answering a question.

A couple of points.

First, if ND was dominating teams, they would have a very good chance of beating out KState and/or Oregon for a BCSCG spot. The fact is, they have have had some pretty ugly performances relatively speaking. So it's not just the "computers and pollsters" fault, people can see that ND hasn't really played at the same level as Oregon and KState thus far.

Second, why would a coach even go there when there are still games left to be played? Answering hypotheticals that assume you win the rest of your games are things fans do. Coaches say GTFO with that question - we have to play Wake Forest this weekend and if get by that we have to play USC next week.

They also were tied with Missouri State in the 4th Quarter and then hung 28 in 4th. But that shouldn't count as struggling. By the way, Missouri State was 0-7 to start the year.

Learn to read, he was responding to a question that was ask IF they ran the table and were undefeated, yet left out.

And if your problem was he said it before all the games were played, I have already heard saban crying about being left out with 1 loss.
