I have pretty much zero recollection of what happened in season 2.

Episode 1 definitely seems to indicate that this facility is tasked with creating a clone of the Emperor. The dude in charge keeps mentioning what sounds like “M Count” which I presume means Midichlorian count.

The first season was mediocre, but they really turned it around last season. Should be a fun watch.

Palpatine’s Royal Guards look good in animated form.

At the end of Season 1, the Kamino facility was destroyed and Crosshair/Clone Force 99 went their separate ways. Nala Se was kidnapped by the Empire and moved to a secret faciltiy.

Over Season 2, they start to figure out that working for Cid is not the best idea and start distancing themselves from her, hanging out more with Space Pirate Wanda Sykes. Echo leaves the batch to help Rex with missions that fight the Empire but comes back at the end to get their help with something. Crosshair gets imprisoned for turning on his team on a mission after figuring out maybe the Empire are the assholes, and he gets moved to the secret lab where Nala Se is being held. The Batch start investigating Hemlock and infilrate a summit that Saw Gerrera was planning to blow up and Tech dies helping them escape. Cid fricks them over and Omega is captured by Hemlock's people so he can use Omega as leverage to make Nala Se do his cloning experiments.

So Hemlock’s facility definitely seems to be working on the Palpatine clone. It also seems to indicate that Omega’s blood has a high midichlorian count.

I guess in some ways this show will support the return of Palpatine in Episode 9.

My biggest gripe with this damn show is that this has been literally the only main premise. The empire wants Omega because she has a high midichlorian count, the kaminoans are working on cloning for Palpatine , the bad batch is doing whatever random bull shite then they go “oh shite we need to go save omega from the empire.”

I like the cloning background stuff with Palpatine but Disney has been using this plot line since mandalorian season 2 they need to let this shite rest.

You haven't been paying attention....they are telling you the backstory of how Palpatine was able to create a force wielding clone and omega is your answer

Omega doesn’t have a high M count naturally, she has the ability to hold the M’s thus making her the best cloning vessel.

Small but important difference. We really don’t need Omega to suddenly be force sensitive.

Good episode. Felt really short, though.

With the finale out I felt like this was a solid installment to the star wars universe. I am curious what they do with Omega now

Omega is going to show up as a Jedi in the Rey spinoff movie. I thought that was just assumed. As for Bad Batch, I just finished the last episode. Great ending to a very good series. Star Wars needs to do more animated shows. They are always solid at worst

Maybe I missed it, where does Omega get her M count from? Were the Kaminoans able to introduce them into the mix, to 'manufacture' Jedi if needed?

I get that Omega is a clone, have we conclusively determined she was a clone of Jango, or was there a Jedi donor?

Lama Su I suppose had the answers, but took that to the grave

I thought the animation in the last episode was top notch. Solid end to the show - now we’ll see where Omega fits in moving forward.

I don’t think she has a natural M count, I think she possesses the ability to hold an M count. Basically they can clone her and replicate M count.

At least that’s how I understood it
