True story.
I was up in Hattiesburg this past Saturday during the day visiting with my dad and stepmom; both are elderly and my step mom is in ill health. They told me they just bought a burial plot, and my stepmom's sister and husband (probably their best friends in the world) bought plots next to them. My dad asked if I wanted to drive out with him and see it, I said sure.
As we were getting in the car, my dad asked, "Guess how much your stepmother and and I paid for our plot". I live in Metairie, so I'm used to expensive burials and tombs at private cemeteries (which is about all there is down here other than potter's fields), and said,
"$5000?"
"Nope"
"$10,000?"
"Nope"
Then in a lighthearted mode and thinking of our TigerDroppings common number, I said, "Heck, I don't know-- Tree Fiddy?"
"Yep. Right on the money. How'd you guess that number, son?"
$350 for a permanent burial spot for two. Unbelievable. This is a municipal/city cemetery in Hattiesburg.
If I was going to be buried, I think I might look into that.

That 350 went straight to Brett Favre.

The OT has become the death and disease board. I guess it's an indication of the ages of the people posting.

Oh yeah, it's a dead giveaway.

That’s a very popular cemetery. People are dying to get in there.

I'm not even from Mississippi, but I might buy me a couple plots there for that price just to have a cheap place to be buried.

We need to end cemeteries. Ridiculous waste of land.
I think some European countries dig people up after 10 years of being buried and reuse the spots. I am for that.

My son had a school project on the Statue of Liberty and asked if I knew how many pieces it came in. Of course I sarcastically said that’s easy tree fiddy! The look on his face was priceless when he said how did you know that? Had to look it up myself and sure enough… tree fiddy!

Is there a way to die without costing money?
