If it were ACC, would you rather watch a competitive Wake Forest-NC State game, or Clemson? If Big 10, do you want Minnesota-Michigan State, or Ohio State? If it's me, I pick the Clemson and Ohio State games. I'm not that interested in "a good matchup" or what MAY be a tight game between teams I have no interest in, I'm scoping out the known powers that likely make a run at the playoffs. I want to see what they have, why they might be a threat to beat Alabama or Georgia. People in other parts of the country don't want to watch "a good game", they want to see #1 play.

Well you and others don’t like football or sports in general. 99.9% of the time It’s not much fun watching a blowout. I have three screens in my garage, I always start with the three games I’m interested in the most and as the games progress I move to the best games.
So... you start with the games you're most interested in?
You don't like football or sports in general, I guess.

Unless, of course, you DON'T watch #1 play unless it's a top 5 matchup... the only time they'd be expected to face a tight game.
At which point, you get to the playoffs, and may not have ever seen a couple of those teams play live at all. And then, it's just guesswork on who will win.

I assume I'm like most fans; I watch MY team first. After that, I watch good SEC teams, and other national powers, to get a feel for who's who. Might then slide to teams with unique schemes... triple-option like service academies, or air raid, etc... (Baylor and Oregon back in the day, because they ran up obscene totals).

Random close games... depends on who's in them. I don't really care about App State-Troy, although that was probably the "best" game that weekend. Might have watched if there wasn't a more interesting matchup on... I don't know who I watched when that game was being played.
There will likely be several Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC etc games this year that will be close to as exciting, and if I don't see them because I'm watching LSU, UGA, Ohio State, Clemson etc, then, oh well. I'll see highlights. If it happens during an LSU game, I won't change over. If it happens during a ranked game that is boring, I might, I might not.

I'm honestly just not sold that non SEC, non Georgia-Auburn fans, will really give a rats arse about that game. But people may be interested in seeing Brian Kelly and LSU, people may be interested in seeing this Tennessee program, that hasn't been nationally relevant in two decades, etc etc.

Pretty sure more casual fans will tune into see the defending champs over lsu/Tennessee. Take the purple and gold dick out your mouth.

They have like 10 games kicking off multiple channels at 11am CST.

Normally you have Fox, FS1, Big 10N, SECN, ACCN, ESPN networks, and ABC with OU/Texas.

Less competition at 2:30 and it’s on a network you can watch with an antenna. The 2:30 ratings SHOULD be higher.

So basically CBS raw dogged us on homefield advantage AND recruiting visits. Nice.

CBS must think that Auburn beats LSU this weekend. Why else would they choose that game for their 2:30 special?

Ok if CBS didn't want LSU-TN fine, what Einstein then decided 11:00 am vs SEC 6:30 pm?

ESPN gets to pick the game they want before the SECN gets their Saturday Night spot. since ESPN isn't showing anything after the 11am window (playoff baseball), it would make sense for them to pick CBS' sloppy seconds and leave the scraps to the SECN
