Christian Harris or George Pickens should be the 2nd round pick

Both would be another impact selection

Pickens would be a bit of a YOLO pick - maybe if we have plans to move Thomas after June 1, but I doubt that's the case.

Harris is definitely a guy worth watching, we are about to see a major run on LBs I think tho.

Nah we good on linebacker. I’m looking at a safety, tight end, or maybe one of those top two rbs. Wouldn’t be mad if we grabbed Christian Watson, Sky Moore, or Pickens. We have room for another good receiver

I think so as well - Davis is 33 tho and having another 3 down LB with the crazy upside of Harris is something worth watching.

We could probably trade down for him but I would suspect a team will like him bc of his traits.

I don't like either pick.

I doubt it too, he now has 5th highest cap hit for WRs in 2023 and there will be a few more big money WR contracts between now and then. His contract is starting to look like appropriate value; with that said I am not sure the team will extend him after 2024 based on how much WRs are now demanding.

He currently has the 9th highest cap hit for WRs in 2022, and will fall to 10th once AJ Brown's numbers are done

One more passing weapon is still needed, either TE or another Wr. We don’t have an all-pro at QB anymore, the team needs the fire power to offset the downgrade.

We have a need at safety and there are some good prospects on the board.

If MT13 is healthy, we have a good WR group with the addition of Olave last night. I’d rather address other needs or go BPA and wait until Saturday before going WR again.

With what you can get for a WR in draft picks I would not rule out trading Thomas.

I'd take Jacksonville or Detroit's 1st rounder in 2023 for him.

Unless there are things I'm unaware of, I don't see us getting Pickens although I do like him. I'd like a good safety I think most at 49. I like the Pitre kid from Baylor. A good rb, TE or DT are solid options.

1) The Saints aren’t trading one of their best players at a position of need.
2) We can’t trade Thomas because of the cap hit.
3) Thomas’ contract is a huge value now considering the market.
4) We aren’t trading Thomas for a 2nd rounder to pick an unknown or take a gamble on guys like Pickens or Harris.

If you are going to do that, you wait until after the 2022 season for a few reasons. Cap hit drops from $38M to $25M, you have the reality of missing a star piece of your offense for 1-2 months, give Winston as many weapons as possible to decide what direction to go with QB in 2023/2024, young WR core still needs a vet presence.

If we go Lber, I'd rather pick a good one like Nakobe Dean.
