I don’t know if it’s the time I grew up in.
Young man in the early 80s, but I just love his music
Always have
I would also add that Ronnie had a lot of crossover success into pop charts in that era. Not a huge country fan other then the older classics 60/70/80s

I saw him live once, and it appeared that he couldn't control his salivary gland. He drooled all over his piano for about an hour.
I felt horrible for him.

Poor guy
Some artists I couldn’t see these days if only for their age/voice

I posted this in the Sunday Evening AC thread a while back, but here's a great cover of "Stranger In My House".
I only wish I was there drinking a beer.

Yes, even though it wasn't my preferred genre there is no doubt Ronnie Milsap was a very, very talented singer. His voice is legendary

Where I come from, a marriage ain’t official ‘til the wedding party dances “The Freeze” at the reception.

During his childhood, Milsap developed a passion for music, particularly the late-night radio broadcasts of country music, gospel music, and rhythm and blues. When he was 7, his instructors noticed his musical talents. Soon afterward he began studying classical music formally at Governor Morehead and learned several instruments, eventually mastering the piano. When he was 14, a slap from one of the school's houseparents caused him to lose what very limited vision he had in his left eye.[1][4]
This got me in the feels

Another great one was "Any day now". I think he was underrated-at least on the pop scene.
