What's going on with Brent Venables and OU?

It was obviously a bit of overreaction yesterday because it briefly seemed like it was a done deal at some point yesterday. Is he their #1 target? Are they still exploring other options?

Disagree completely. BV has ignited our former players.
One of the major benefits of a guy like BV is the possibility he brings immediate impact players (recruits or current players) with him.
I would absolutely hate having Campbell. He just went 7-5 with ISU’s best team ever and doesn’t even have conference championships as a goal.

My understanding is that there are two candidates. One will accept if offered and waiting on the second one to let OU know.
