That's all the state has; their case is weak af. Purely emotional.

Started carrying a taser on her belt in 2005
She had already been on BCPD for 10 years with a gun only at that point

Humanize her, let her explain certain aspects of her character, non-complaint record and get her off. Don’t open the door for prosecution to bring up any other aspects you don’t want brought up. Great job by defense.
For example, Kyle through his testimony opened some extra doors for the prosecution that wouldn’t have come up if Kyle didn’t testify

We gonna go line-by-line on the policy again?

Prosecutor come across very bitchy…
What are lesser charges that jurors can convict on? Seems negligent is the highest possible condition, is there a lesser in play?

I think it's only 1st degree & 2nd degree manslaughter as of right now

They are literally trying this woman for an accident. And accident that more than likely wouldn’t have occurred had the thug POS not had a warrant out and had he not tried to get in a car.

This spark test stuff is so freaking bogus

This is a purely political prosecution; if this was a white dude victim this would not be going on. These prosecutors are scum.

Why are they going on about the spark test? It has nothing to do with a tactical deployment of less than lethal force?

because the state has zero case; the facts are not on their side so they are grasping at muh policy and powerpoints.

My understanding of watching the trial is you only do a spark test at the beginning of each shift, not every time you have to deploy the taser. If it comes to you having to use the taser taking 5 seconds to do the spark test seems like it would be detrimental to the officer. Maybe I have misunderstood testimony so far and if not then what's the point of constantly bringing it up?

This is 100% true. These attorneys / arm-chair quarterbacks have never been in a stressful situation. Having been in combat I can tell you that things get chaotic and you do some weird stuff….especially the first time you get shot at.

Holy hell this current picture that taser, outside of the small yellow portion at the bottom looks like a gun.

I'm confused why it isn't entirely yellow.

That's the thing. The previous model was almost completely yellow. I can understand the grip being pistol like for ease of use and aiming but with it not being fully yellow is insane to me.
