My only real worry about this is the longevity.

Even if he’s killing it I’m not sure he’ll last more than 6/7 years.

If you hire a young gun the melt is “what if he bolts for the NFL”. Kelly has a decade in him at minimum.

My one positive is what he has done at Notre Dame came with higher enrollment standards for even recruits. Now the whole field opens for him.

Doesn’t matter when we’re going to automatically fire him after he wins a title.

We’ll be ready to fire his arse after he wins his first in a couple years anyway.

He'll last about 5 years, fans will have had enough of his boring mediocrity. He will waltz into retirement, courtesy of SW, with about 5 years of receiving payment for doing absolutely nothing. Just another 5 year setback for LSU football. Terrible hire

If he makes 7 years, that will be more than most LSU coaches.

Dietzel was 7 years
Mac was 17 years
Stovall 4 years
Arnsparger 3 years
Archer 4 years
Hallman 4 years
DiNardo 5 years
Saban 5 years
Miles 11 years plus 4 games
O 5 years plus 7 games in 2016 when Miles was fired

If he makes 7 years, that will be longer than everyone save Miles and Mac.

Agree, but what kind of psycho picks SECW gauntlet to ride into the sunset? Seems like a move someone hungry for natty’s would make.
