You can’t announce coaches who have conference championship games to play. For fricks sake. At this point, it probably would have been better if OU won last night since it was never Riley.

What makes you think they’ll be here 10+ years? We just fired someone less that 2 years from a national championship. Combine that with the fact the Baton Rouge is a dump and that’s why nobody wants to be here. LSU fans are irrational.

Baton Rouge is hardly a dump compared to Tuscaloosa or Waco. Just saying. As for rushing the announcement, the longer it takes the better IMHO. After Alabama's last game of the season, for example. Or Jacksonville's or Baylor's or Carolina's. And our recruits are mostly garbage anyway, judging by this past season--and their rush to jump through the portal like they were on a Stargate episode every time something didn't go their way. Bear in mind that this is potentially the highest-paying position in college football. Way more important a consideration than whether BR is a great shopping or tourist mecca. If you can't keep your faith in SW, keep your faith in the almighty dollar.
