Angel's Envy is nice

This is actually a pretty solid bourbon, I would rather drink this than Buffalo Trace. It is much better, in my opinion, than Col. E.H. Taylor or Eagle Rare.

Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch!

It's hard to find bourbon aged 15+ years for under $100, and age has quite a significant impact on flavor.
Personally I find that most bourbon aged over 12 years tends to make the wood flavors overpowering. This is more than likely due to the new oak barrels. Age tends to work better on scotch and Irish though.

Greenspot Irish Whiskey, around $60-75, biscuity smooth.

OP- everyone is invested now. Please report back with which one you choose.

A good bourbon that won’t break the bank is Woodford Reserve
Allow me to re-emphasis this...
I did a blind taste test with 7 men that represented a full spectrum of drinkers..
on one end of the spectrum was a whiskey snob with discerning tastes and on the other end was someone that doesn't really drink at all...
4 different bourbons..
Henry McKenna (Somewhat of a highend bourbon)
Woodford Reserve
Makers Mark
Some no name brand from Chattanooga ...
Woodford Reserve won unanimously...
The Bourbon snob recognized McKenna as a highend bourbon but said just for pure enjoyment he would take the Woodford every time...

Damn there are a lot of different bourbons.
At least with scotch I can kind of keep up.

Rabbit Hole. Cavehill is my favorite expression. Priced like Blanton’s (maybe a little less) and absolutely incredible.

It’s difficult to find. Found a couple of options that was $200 plus, but passed...

Blanton's is #1. #2 Not close. But hard to find, so if you do, buy as many bottles as you can & scalp to get your money back plus some.Collectors have driven up the prices of many of the top brands, to the extent some are impossible to find. Calandros, both stores here in B.R. , has one of the best selections in town & you can get on a waiting list for brands like Blantons.

I cant even find regular Blantons, where are you going to find gold?

I had a glass of 18 year Elijah Craig and was really expecting it to be overrated, but I was wrong...the flavor and smoothness was unlike any other bourbon I’ve had.
