I think if we're able to take away someone from their school with money, then an NFL team would be able to do the same to us.

He would already he making nearly what Belichick, Carroll and Payton are currently being paid.

I’ve asked that question on the OU site and nobody can point to a direct quote or even someone close to him making a statement about the NFL.

but Aranda feels like that long-term winner to me

Why is that? We have no way of knowing who does or does not have an interest in the NFL. For all we know, Aranda is as big a risk to leave as Riley if Aranda has enough success. If you think Aranda is a lower risk because he isn’t good enough to go to the NFL, then that is a very good reason not to hire him.

We lost Saban to the NFL because he was that good. But he left LSU better than he found it. I don’t think anyone would say that we should have passed on Saban for a lesser coach.

He wants to coach the Cowboys but won’t do it until he wins a MNC in college

Kliff Kingsbury got a job with the Cardinals after a 5-7 year at Texas Tech and is doing well. You don't think he looks at Kingsbury and says I'm way better than him?

If he has eyes on the NFL it'd just be about waiting for the right offer.

Kellen Moore is probably next in line to coach the Cowboys

Cowboys and Lincoln have had rumors for awhile. It could be something he decides he wants to do down the road.

He's had talks with Dallas. He didn't feel the time was right, and stayed at Oklahoma. Give him two or three more successful years in college, and he'll be coaching at Jerry World. Guaranteed.
