A Newark police officer was charged with reckless vehicular homicide, prosecutors said on Wednesday, accusing the man of hitting a pedestrian with his personal car and briefly taking the body home, where he discussed with his mother what to do with it.

The prosecutor’s office said Mr. Santiago eventually returned to the scene. Mr. Santiago’s father, Lt. Luis Santiago of the Newark Police Department, called 911 at some point to report that his son had been in an accident.

When the state police arrived, they found Mr. Dymka’s body in the Honda’s back seat.

Had to have been driving drunk. Otherwise him driving off makes no sense.

Add this to the lengthy list of why you should avoid Newark.

Did he legit believe he hit a damn werewolf? If so, the worst they can get him for is failure to tag. He'll probably lose his hunting license for a year.

Why do I get the feeling the mother had paintings of one dog going this way and the other dog going that way, and the guy sitting there like "whattaya want from me?"

Ive hit several deer and a couple of hogs. I would probably swerve through a ditch to get a werewolf. Or a Sasquatch.
