… but it’s Wednesday and there’s still no announcement on the new HC.

What is the mood on the CCB? What are the explanations/theories being kicked around on the CCB?

He's too busy landing the top recruits for an announcement.

I thought they were pretty much guaranteed a spot in the championship game. What scenario causes them to miss out?

I think if they lose and Baylor wins they’re eliminated. If they win they are in. If they lose and Baylor loses they are in.

Maybe someone can correct me.

If he isn’t announced on Sunday the board will melt.

If they lose to Okie light, they're out.

Okie light would then play Baylor. I mean that's the end of the season.

Baylor has the head to head win over OU.

If Baylor also loses they would have 3 conf losses to OU 2.

In that scenario it’s a rematch with OSU in the conf championship.

Oh you're right. Good point.

Forgot about that.

Thanks for the correction.

That would narrow down the list pretty dramatically actually. It would then have to be a coach that’s playing in the conference championship game or an NFL guy.

So to you this scenario would mean nothing’s happening with Riley, it’s someone else. I agree that would seem to make sense.

Lol, I suspect if nothing has happened by Monday the shite will be hitting the fan on CCB. I put Wednesday because I “think” by then some may actually need immediate professional medical attention!

The longer it goes on the less worried about the hire I get but also the more I want to know.

If it was going to be a Stoops, BOB, Napier, etc we would know by now or at the latest this Sunday. If it goes past that then we can rule a ton of those types of guys i.e. ones with nothing to play for after Saturday.

I have a hard time believing Woodward doesn't already have this thing wrapped up with how many of our coaching "targets" are all working on extensions at their current job or going somewhere else. Well...almost all of them...

Agree, that seems reasonable given Woodward’s history.

Also in my mind it wouldn’t necessarily mean Riley is out. Though with early recruiting I’d expect they’d want Riley on the trail. So I would be concerned.

Yessir, but I've been discounting that possibility kind of like my bud Birdman has. We kind of forgot it because we do not believe texas tech can pull off an upset at baylor. We believe Aranda will smoke that arse.

Yep. Woodward really must be 1 bad arse mo fo cause most feared he could lose Riley up to the very last second, but Woodrow himself obviously is balls of steel and CONFIDENT big time! He bagged it!!!!!!
