Want me to find one that said Ed Orgeron was a slam dunk hire? Bet I could.

Find one that said that about Orgeron. Guy has always been second rate. Never wanted him close to LSU.

Napier is completely different than the normal G5 coach. It is so obvious when you watch his teams. They are more like an SEC built team than a lower tier team. Just don’t see why that is so hard to see. Would have been my first call if I was AD at LSU.

Not a tweet but here’s an article from a football source praising the hire and this was just a quick search.

The point is, you can always find one jackass who will be all in on any hire we make.

already has great relationships with HS coaches in the state.

So the guy thinks he’d be good for recruiting. Ok.

The other coaches on the list couldn’t develop good relationships with HS coaches just as well?

I’ll take a coach with some technical expertise for a change, but thanks for your thoughts, Jim

So I’m assuming he has several championships in the sunbelt then right?

Have you watched a Napier coached team? They are prepared and ready to play. Also, his halftime adjustments are always very good.

If you hire him, and he doesn’t work out, you simply get rid of him. Problem solved.

If, say, Florida hires him, and he turns out to be the next Saban, and you have to watch his team kick your team’s arse year in and year out, and you’re watching him win championships with regularity, how do you fix that problem?

. This is the EXACT same thing people said about O and now we're paying him $17MM not to coach here.

Pete Carroll called Alleva and told him he’d be a great hire.

So this guy's entire point is that he could recruit well so we should hire him. Hmmmmmm...that sounds familiar doesn't it?

And what if LSU let’s Florida have him because we can get Riley or Aranda and then LSU continues to dominate Florida for the next 20 years? What would he say then?

Florida hasn't kicked our arse year in and year out since Spurrier was on the sideline, and LSU was having the worst decade in the program's modern history.

One of the best things about this coaching search ending soon is we won't have to hear Napier and Saban mentioned in the same sentence again.

I don't truly know how well he would do at LSU, and no one else does either.

But there must be reasons why a G5 coach has been mentioned for jobs at South Carolina, Mississippi State, TCU, LSU and Florida. No other G5 coach is getting that run.

I don't think Woodward will hire him, but I wouldn't be unhappy if he was, especially given some of the names we've been hearing of late.
