Better Job: Lsu or Florida

The atlantic said this back in September.
quote:
Florida is a bit of a tricky job to evaluate. Outside of a few years in the 1960s and a couple of good teams in the 1980s that were neutralized by NCAA sanctions, the program’s history as a top team really only dates back to the hiring of Steve Spurrier in 1990.
quote:
Add in the fact that there’s arguably no better state from a talent perspective than Florida, and that UF is the flagship university in the state, and it’s clear to see why this is considered an elite job.
quote:
Florida is certainly among the best jobs in college football. And once the new football facility is built, it could become even more attractive, especially if coach Dan Mullen can return the team to its championship ways.

Pretty comparable. Louisiana is loaded with recruits too and no in state competition. It's splitting hairs.

Probably Florida because LSU is in Louisiana and we got a fricking retard Democrat governor.

Didn't read, but what if I told you LSU has won 13 of the last 20 games between the two schools?

LSU. Better facilities, better recruiting advantage.

Would you rather navigate the East or the west? Once OU and TX joins, which pod would you rather find yourself in….

LSU is the better job...It's not a great deal better, but I'll admit, it's better.
Per capita y'all got just as many good players and don't have to share them with anyone for the most part.

Still better than that turd they got in Florida.

Currently LSU by a hair. But it often depends on the success of FSU. If they or Miami are up then coaching at FL is more difficult for sure.

A similar statement can be made about LSU pre-Saban.

Both jobs are great.
The Florida Gators under Steve Spurrier in the 1990s was tough to beat.
Urban Meyer from 2005 to 2010 was excellent.
Both programs need an elite coach. But if they get the right guy, they can be dominant.

But they really don't and their talent pool isn't growing like UF's.
