How convenient that MULTIPLE media outlets start leaking Bill O’Brian rumors at the same exact time, shortly on the heels of Riley rumors heating up.
Until Lincoln Riley signs an extension with OU, then negotiations and/or agreement is in place. Read the tea leaves
Play into the false narrative to throw the scent off the real target.

Jordy says he spoke to a “trusted source” last night and was told “it was real”.
So maybe smokescreen not started by Woodward, but perhaps playing into the false rumors to distract.

I'm of the same thought. These programs don't just go around throwing out offers, so if an offer has been given, or even discussed, the smoke with Riley has to be real.
Not saying he will be our next coach, but logic says the interest is at least mutual.

It's gotta be a smokescreen - nothing else would make sense.
(1) BoB cannot be using this for a contract extension or raise with Bama because they're already tired of him.
(2) It isnt going to increase his worth or peak any other school's interest just bc of these rumors about LSU.
(3) Woody isnt stupid enough to actually be considering the guy.

Go watch his press conference where they ask him about the LSU job and speculation. Then go watch Jimbo or Tomlin. If you want to shut down rumors you're leaving go the Jimbo or Tomlin route. Riley's response was as close to an "I'm thinking about it you can get" sans franklin's dumb arse responses earlier this year.

For sure! I don't think it was accidental how he only referred to the present when saying his is the coach at OU. Maybe I missed something but I am fairly certain he did not say anything about being there next year and to me that says something is bothering him and either OU needs to fix it or he will be gone.

This is exactly what the sauces said earlier, that we got our guy but next two week will be chaos, which is what it’s been since.
Trust the process, and I think we’ll be very satisfied with whoever we get.

I'm of the opinion that talking heads with "sources" should have to reveal their source after the fact if it was wrong. I've never seen so many people with "trusted sources". Not even just posters, but like real life analysts/journalists. It's incredible.
