This is what someone that has no knowledge whatsoever of the OU football program would say.
Riley may (will) get a raise, but the end goal is to get more funds for assistant coaches and support staff. OU is woefully lacking support staff (analysis and recruiting experts) and LSU has given LR the exact leverage he needed to increase funding.

Tucker’s deal could bite LSU in the arse. Oklahoma may look at that and realize the going rate for HCs is going up fast. Thus, they step up and pay Riley whatever it takes to keep him. Which I don’t necessarily believe is a match of LSU’s offer. I think if OU gets in the $10-12m range he stays.
