Then he’ll leave Miami when something else opens up. The guy just can’t help himself.

My initial reaction is absolutely not. But the more I think about it, he does have what it takes to bring back that Miami swag—or at least as close as it can. And with Florida and Florida State down, he’d destroy recruiting Florida. And with the ACC being terrible, it wouldn’t take long for him to have Miami as the 2nd best program in the ACC. I think he could make the playoffs relatively quickly there. Ole Miss is currently a better program. Without question. But they’ve got to share, not only a state with another SEC school, but despite their current season, are probably never gonna be better than the 4th or 5th best in the SEC West (Bama, LSU, A&M, and probably Auburn). And MSU is dangerous now too with Leach and his up and down teams.

And that’s BEFORE the SEC adds Oklahoma and Texas. I’m sure he’s having fun in Oxford, but this season may be a 1-off. Not due to his coaching ability, just the resources Ole Miss will have relative to all the other schools in the SEC. So, while coaching at Ole Miss may be more “fun,” I think he’d have more success at Miami.

I can easily see Kiffin driving a Testarossa on South Beach and being a Detective Crockett cosplayer

What will he ever do at OM? Facilities are middle of the road and will always be. They are in the same division as Bama, LSU, aTm, and Auburn, and the same conference as Georgia, Tenn, UF.

Winning conference championship at the U would be much easier. Winning will bring in facility upgrades to what OM is now or better.

He screwed himself by bailing on Tenn and his tenures at USC and Oakland.

Maybe? I'm not really convinced that Miami is actually a better job than Ole Miss in 2021 top to bottom, but it would definitely be the easier school to win at right now and maybe use to get a truly elite job.

You shouldn’t be. The only people who think other wise are the same people that think Nebraska is one decent coach away from another dynasty

No idea why he would want in that dumpster fire. With people saying he’s got a real chance at Arch, I would stay put if my other choice is Miami.
Who cares? Miami, beaches, boats, great nightlife. The intrinsic values of Mississippi pale in comparison for non-goobers.

Been telling yall that Lane loves S Florida and, if he gets what the AD and booster support he wants, he knows he can get talent to The U and he knows he can run that division and thus, conpete for national titles. He also knows he can't do that in the SEC West for the foreseeable future.

He will be able to get phenomenal QB prospects at Miami and he can get top 10 recruting classes stacked on one another. I figure some group of boosters at Miami are going to pull a Michigan State and throw $8-$10/yr million at Kiff and make him say no.

At its most basic level ask yourself if he would be happier there? I think he would.

Miami won the ACC Coastal 4 years ago. You act like they're damn Rutgers or Indiana.

That conference is wide open.

If Miami makes a Michigan State-esque financial commitment to football Kiffin is leaving Ole Miss. It's that simple.

Not just that but it isn’t always about the money. The logistics make sense because he still owns a home just north of Miami in Boca Raton.
