A few of the Kingfish players went into the NHL.

Anyone remember Reed Low. Here's a clip of him holding his own against the great Tie Domi.

My dad’s business advertised on the rink board logos so we randomly received floor seats behind the “home” goalie net. I felt like I was BR royalty except we were never in the line of fire for the t-shirt cannon which was a MAJOR bummer. The pregame was HYPE!!!!!

He still has my team signed jersey and puck in the attic

I still have a kids kingfish jersey. We used to go to a ton of games.

One day we went ice skating at Leo’s in BR and I was terrible - couldn’t skate an inch without falling on my arse. An older man approached me and asked if I needed some help. He said a kingfish player Cam Brown (I think that’s his name) was there and could help me. Sure enough, he did. Very nice guy & I’ll always remember that

The Baton Rouge Kingfish NEVER beat the IceGators. Like ever. Therefore they are the IceGators’ bitches.

Sorry, I do that a lot.
You are correct, but every time those 2 played it was good times!

I still have a bunch of Seawolves pucks, including a commemorative one from the inaugural game. Caught one puck, still have that too.

Baton Rouge, LA - Clark Jones scored twice in the opening 4:06 of the game and Jeff Blair made 37 saves in a spectacular performance, as the Baton Rouge Kingfish handed the Louisiana IceGators their first loss of the season, a 3-1 defeat at the Riverside Centroplex.

We used to go to Kingfish games occasionally in college. None of us knew anything about the rules of hockey though.

I had season ticketed to the Brass, the better team, and without a doubt Dean Moore was king of the ice.

Dean Moore vs Casey Wolak

Once season we had Dean Moore, Gordy Dweyer, and Jesse Boulerice on the same team. There were times when all three where fighting on the ice at the same time cleaning house!

I once went to a wedding in Cincinnati. My flight landed in Kentucky and I somehow ended up at a Cyclones game that weekend. Strange times.
