One of the radio hosts jokingly said "so Mike Tomlin!" and the reporter laughed and said something like "nah, I think he had about as strong of a denial as you can have" and said it's 2 others out of left field.
I realize this thread is shitty when it comes to hardcore facts and this LSU reporter may not know shite, I was more interested in everyone's guesses as to the two names that haven't been talked about since hires usually seem to come out of nowhere like that.
It's usually not the guy everyone thinks it'll be a month in advance, or one of the guys that's discussed at length. That's why these two names out of left field are fun to guess at

The Arkansan with me came up with what he thought the second name was Clawson. Clawson has been discussed here, but no high-volume rumor mill stuff and I haven't heard it in the general sports media.
So that was our Rorschach test first-thought names from hearing that.

I'm glad someone else heard it too, because the guy sounded legit and not like some LSU homer.
Only reason I take any credence in anything that show says is because they regularly have big guests on, like Jaworski, Schefter, Finebaum, Clay Travis, SEC head coaches, etc. So it's not like they were talking to some random LSU nobody, I just wish I heard the intro so I could gauge who they were talking to.
I think Rhule is a good guess as far as a "left field" guy nobody is talking about, Clawson is a good guess too

Peterson and Meyer. Just a guess based on who I would want that is not named Nick Saban.
Although Saban could be in play. Have the most NC's of anyone at two SEC powers? He would definitely want a statue on our campus too.
