Watched a little youtube video of him and his wife this AM. He was talking down about folks trolling but they've been catching fish that way in the winter around Bayou Caddy before TV ever touched a fishing pole. He would do well to expand his horizons as an angler.

Also like his videos. I don’t personally know him but his videos are very helpful. I know there were some locals around Grand Isle that didn’t like how he was putting out all the specific info about fishing spots down there.

Those people are ridiculous. It’s not like what he was doing was some big secret. He would fish the state park rocks, fouchon barges, etc. I don’t even fish down there and I know those areas produce.

Met him in MS and tried to send him in the right direction. He couldn’t have been nicer.

I don’t know what he said about the trolling, but it has gotten out of hand. You can’t fish a creek wider than 30 feet without having boats coming next to you all day.

ETA: I was in a lake and had a guy doing circles around me last year.

Something to the effect that they are dummies and bad for fishing because they are trolling on their main motor. I don't like people running around on their big motor near me either but it comes with winter time fishing in certain main rivers/bayous. Hell it's a well honed art on the trestles in Lake P.

*Probably over reacting but it rubbed me the wrong way. There's more to inshore and trout fishing than throwing pogies up against rocks (which is fine if that is how you like to do it)

Doesn’t warrant anyone saying “frick him” just because they don’t like his style of fishing. That’s childish

I can’t say that he’s a stand up guy. He used to be my in laws neighbor and did plenty of sleezy shite with the money collected from their HOA.

The guy catches fish sure, but I can’t say I’ve head a lot of good things about him.

I met him a few times in GI and he was always pleasant. My son and I were fishing the rocks outside of the pass and catching a few here and there while Tommy was hauling them in one after another. He called us over to where he was at and put us on the fish. Not many people would do that so in my book he's a stand up guy from my personal experience.

He fished with pogies instead of shrimp

Or he seasoned his crawfish after cooking

I liked his Grand Isle YT fishing videos. Very helpful. But not a Mississippi coast fisherman, and find his new videos uninformative. Unsubscribed.

I still subscribe bc like him I’m relocating from GI to BSL. His videos now show me what to expect as he learns new grounds and styles. I learned a good bit from him in GI and expect to learn from him on the Mississippi coast. Every little bit helps and I’d bet he gets if somewhat figured out relatively quickly. He certainly has more time than I donto figure things out and I’ll be happy to take advantage of what he’s learned and apply it.

He’ll do well midweek when nobody is screwing him up and he can figure out the pattern. His greatest advantage in GI was fishing midweek when conditions were right.
