Where are all the hunting rounds?

I’ve looked all over for hunting rounds and haven’t seen any selection at all. Plenty of 223/556 and 308, and pistol rounds but I have yet to find a box of 7mm, or 270. I’m headed out of town for a hunt next week and need some 7mm. Been shooting the hornady precision hunter but I’ve noticed a clear pattern of deer not bleeding much being shot with these and want to change back to a soft point style bullet. Where the hell can I find some hunting rounds locally to BR?

People hoarding them. I would think we should see some improvement in a few months as production ramps up on some of these other brands like Norma.

I was able to order .30-30 ammo for the first time in a year. I see decent supply of .308 and .300 Win Mag which I also shoot.
But I had to order a case of shotgun ammo last week. I shoot over 500 rds of #4 or #6 shot and it's hard to find. I usually shoot lead but I can't get steel either. Those 500 are just for critter control, not hunting or clays.

Not getting made because production is being focused on the hoarder candy. Basically 308, 6.5cm, 5.56 and 9mm.

If the ammo you have shoots well in your rifle, I sure wouldn’t try to change ammo a week away from a hunt. Make a high shoulder shot and don’t worry about a blood trail.

experiencing the same thing with 30-06. Want to put some rounds on paper before the season.
