I'm loving this show. This episode was fantastic. It's crazy how all of this is falling apart for Dexter after just 1 murder. Considering he killed so many people in Miami.

I can't wait to see where this goes in the next few weeks.

I love it. His decision to kill Mat Caldwell was incredibly impulsive. Gave into his his urge to kill so quickly with him that it's coming back to get him. Old Dexter would have spent time, done his own lengthy investigation, and probably would have figured out who/what Kurt was before ever laying a finger on Matt. The 10 years of being idle has left him a step behind.

Now seeing him back at a crime scene doing his Dexter thing was awesome.

Dexter has to come clean with Harrison but I don't see how Harrison lets him live once he does.

He's already holding Dexter responsible for his mother's death but what happens when he finds out that Dexter's realllly responsible?

Trinity flashback was creepy, solid work. John Lithgow nailed the character. Harrison 100% will kill Dex over his Mom. Already appears to have killed or characteristics of seriel killer

Thinking about this season, something feel odd and we do not have the full story. If Harrison showed up randomly, why hasn’t dexter done some research and see if the step mom actually died of cancer?

The next couple of episodes will be a cat and mouse game.

I think the second to last episode would be a great time for the cliffhanger ending of Harrison’s point of view and you hear dialogue from his own dark passenger

Yep, you'd think being a former Forensic Investigator for a major police department, he would have the means to access almost any information concerning most anything he wanted to investigate.

Sloppy writing is the culprit.

he wrote Hannah a letter explaining everything. only she would have that letter and it makes sense if she left it for Harrison to find.

If Chief Bishop keeps digging, she's not going to like what she finds!!!

Amazing how a wound from the syringe may unravel everything for Dexter

I find the show getting a bit unrealistic, even for a fictional series.

He's kidnapped and tied up in a pickup and manages to make his escape into the woods----with foot deep snow no less--making tracking him a no-brainer.

His captor/hunter shoots him in the leg with a high-powered rifle, so he is seriously injured and his pursuer isn't other than some facial lacerations. Yet Dexter still manages to keep just enough ahead of the guy to make it to a place where he can ambush and kill his pursuer.

the unrealistic thing was Dexter being ejected through the window with barely no injuries.

The guy looked fricked up from the wreck and maybe had some broken bones/concussion.

Well, in all honesty, the show did start off glacially slow.

Odd episode. The pacing was really weird.

I probably wouldn't have liked it but Clancy Brown really delivered and saved it, IMHO. That's why you write the check and get him to sign on as your Big Bad.

Instead of the various B and C plots, they really should have invested more time in Caldwell trying to be the Emperor Palpatine to Harrison's Anakin Skywalker over the past several episodes. The two actors play off each other very well. As it was, the whole sequence felt way too rushed but the Kurgan manged to sell it.

Noticed that in his phone call to his minion that he was wearing his undertaker/taxidermy garb and Molly Park was absent from this episode so I wonder if he grabbed her offscreen first.
