there seems to be a lot of negativity about gamedays and atmosphere around/inside the stadium. Is it worth making the trip?

It sounds like the stadium has been half empty this season.

I’m in New Orleans for a week from the UK, and will be making the long journey back to NO after the game. I’d rather spend the night on Bourbon if it’s as bad as people are making out?

Bad gameday atmosphere is better than a Bourbon Street shooting any day of the week.

Please get out and see the rest of the city. Bourbon kind of sucks

As for LSU, if the weather is nice, you will have a great time

Have you ever attended an LSU game in Tiger Stadium? If not. You should check it out.
It’s only an hour or so from New Orleans. Not that long of a journey considering you are coming from the UK.

There’s so many great things to do in SE Louisiana

The French Quarter and LSU football (this year) are not.

Absolutely worth the trip! SEC night game in Tiger Stadium!
Go early, get to campus by noon, wander around, tell everybody you’re from London and you’ll eat and drink for free all day. If you’ve been here a week, you’ve already been to Bourbon St.
As for this forum, most post negative about everything.

Yes it is worth it. Have fun tailgating. Enjoy an SEC football game at night in Tiger Stadium. It’s not what it was, but still a lot of fun.

We have been to every game this year. The big games are great, the small games are as expected. We have a blast either way and our tailgating group always has fun. Come on down and enjoy the game. We are cooking pork this weekend

Whoever you decide, find another option than Bourbon St. Get out of the Quarter.

You’re already bringing the vibe down. Don’t come.

What are you reading? The Florida 11am atmosphere was electric.

Hell yeah, if you read this board before Florida game it made it seem stadium would be empty but that was not the case. Most Fans support LSU Period !

Personally, I would not. If I were to pick a game to go to I would go to A&M. The Aggies will probably have a NY6 bowl game on the line, if LSU could find a way to pull off that upset and keep them from said bowl game, that would be hilarious.

That’s the only thing left that’s intriguing about this season.
