State Street will Require Permission from Management to Hire White Men

"Leaders at one of the largest investment firms in the world, State Street Global Advisors, will need to ask permission to hire White men as it rolls out a diversity hiring initiative.
"This is now front and central for State Street — it’s on every senior executive’s scorecard," said Jess McNicholas, the bank’s head of inclusion, diversity and corporate citizenship in London, according to the Sunday Times.
"All of our leaders have to demonstrate at their annual appraisals what they have done to improve female representation and the number of colleagues from ethnic-minority backgrounds."

Not unusual. I know some government jobs that has happened for years. You have to submit all kinds of information to show where this person would basically be better than those who are lesser qualified.

And the white men they hire will have to be certified soy eating queers. If you’re a honkey, you’re best off learning a good trade; you’ll probably make better money than 2/3’s of the degree holders, and can be your own boss one day.

The free markets have spoken. Hiring white men is a bad idea. Who are we to argue with capitalists? They're just doing what is best and if it truly was a bad idea then their competitors will beat them.

Friend who works at Pfizer was asked to be on a hiring committee because she’s an Asian woman.
The person running the committee said HR had asked them to only hire equity candidates.

The committee gal said “You know. Women or minorities.”
She said, “How will we know that from their resumes?”
The lady said “You can usually tell.”
She responded “My name is Carrie Miles (not her real name). How would you tell I’m not a white woman from my resume?”
The lady said “I know. But this is what we have to do.”

At the end of the day small and mid size businesses need to make money. No client or patient is hiring a lawyer or doctor for their diversity.

I wonder if the hires need to prove their ethnic background too. Otherwise lots of White Hispanics males gonna be roaming the halls.
