Rabalais "in the big picture not much changed after Saturday night" WRONG, a lot changed!

Before last night's thrilling final second loss to Alabama in Tuscaloosa, most reporters nationally and locally in BR believed LSU's football program was worse off now than when O arrived, except for a few like Ross Dellinger who seems like a genius reporter now. Last night many minds were changed, after seeing Coach O lead a heroic effort by this LSU team.
An LSU team that was nearly depleted of its starters and backups yet in the final seconds almost beat second-ranked Alabama in Tuscaloosa coached by the GOAT Nick Saban. It shows how powerful LSU's program has become after winning the 2019 title so convincingly and historically, it lifted LSU's program to a place it had never been before.
In the big picture, no LSU team before the 2019 title, could have done what this current LSU team did in 2021 under similar circumstances at Alabama against Nick Saban. For Rabalais to not realize many minds were changed after last night, is the height of stupidity in journalism. Perhaps Rabalais should remain longer in the bathroom, on the toilet, and let out more gas, to ease all of that pressure on his mind before posting any thoughts.

After BR reporter Jacques Doucet told Ross Dellinger that he believed LSU’s program is worse now than when O arrived. Ross strongly disagreed and explained why. This exchange was posted on TD.

It was very important we play well last night, and we played our guts out. Very proud of the effort playing with many backups. We made a statement to the nation and recruits, we're not going anywhere.

LSU got to be runner up to Alabama in a two team contest? How exciting. Grow up.

Not surprised you're happy to be Bama's bitch. Enjoy being mediocre in life.

You seem to fail to acknowledge the 5-5 record last year and 4-5 record this season. You accept mediocrity which is not the LSU standard since 2000, sad you and other fans now have lowered the bar for the program

Not angry, just amused that people like you exist

Calm down Chester. Best work on your reading comprehension.

Agreed. Numerous times ESPN announcers even spoke to the effort of LSU last night.
While so damn proud of them, it makes you shake your head as to where was this planning, effort and execution all season? We need to finish the next three games with a sense of purpose, playing strong D like last night AND improving on O.
Our young WR cadre learned a lot from playing that D last night which is only going to make them better in creating space and being physical getting off the LOS. The OL showed improvement vs a good front 7, but must get even better. IF we get better QB play, we'll like the results over the next three weeks.

I’m glad the players have some fight but I will not accept a close loss as evidence that our program is in good shape somehow.
LSU is going to lose 6 games for the first time since any of the current players were alive.

I don’t mean to downplay any of that. But I must acknowledge the heroic way LSU fought Alabama until the final second after losing half of its starters and backups. They grabbed the attention of LSU’s recruits and future head coach in a big way. And LSU needed that.

When you rise to mediocre status the throw shade at others
In the meantime maybe consider a conference more befitting you program like the southland
