He is a problem everywhere he goes, surprised he still gets another shot.

He will be subject to waivers and will make it nowhere near the Saints or Bucs.

I doubt seriously anyone claims OBJ on waivers

*ETA: nevermind just saw the Browns are fricking themselves and helping him out to get his salary to the min so someone probably will claim him

I stumbled onto Florio and Peter King on the radio this morning. When that was brought up, Peter King was like "uh, I think Arians and Jason Licht would tell Tom enough is enough."

Shouldn’t be. We’ve seen dudes with far worse character flaws get chance after chance.

Guess we see what happens. Maybe it’ll work out if he goes somewhere that has a QB that he can’t throw under the bus (like he did with Eli and Baker).

Yeah, how many teams have the kind of cap space that would allow them to claim him off waivers?

If he hits free agency, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in New England. They've been linked to him in the past, and they'd become a pretty interesting team if they gave Mac Jones another weapon.

I didn't really understand this, but either Florio or Peter King said this morning they will put a bunch of incentive poison pills in there so no one claims him.

It seems complicated. My post in here was after reading the Saints talk thread where they said his base salary was being reduced to the min and the rest was a signing bonus. That's why I said the Browns were fricking themselves (b/c a new signing bonus will create more proration they have to eat cap-wise, when cutting salary is 100% deductible).

Apparently they want to reduce their burden but not in a way where he clears waivers so he can sign anywhere.

I can’t wait until the Lions claim him on waivers. He thought it was bad in Cleveland…

He most definetely will get another shot. Despite what they say, most teams are not worried about character if they think a guy still has a few big plays in him.

I don’t understand that either. Don’t they owe him less money if someone claims him off waivers (vs signing as a UFA)?

Over-hyped, under-performing crybaby.

Exactly.

Gordon hasn’t been “that dude” for the better part of the last decade and has instead, spent that time trying to drink his way out of the league. And nobody is shocked he signed this year.
