I'm in this camp, not necessarily opposed to the vaccine but severely opposed to government overreach.

I've been trying to decide what I should do if and when it comes to making a decision.

I love my employer and obviously would be difficult to find employment elsewhere because this will eventually affect everyone IMO.

Just really just don't know what to do.

If the vaccine isn't right for you, it isn't right for you.

Not that hard to fabricate cardstock with vaccine date/times. Most employers that don't really give a shite aren't going to spend much more time on this than just collecting a copy of your card. Just know that some progressive politician may eventually send some gestapo to persecute you and your employer eventually.

My company did lose a few people b/c of the mandate. Not a bad market to switch jobs.

Start interviewing. It’s what I did the second they said we would have to comply. Have offers already and going to find someone who will exempt me as a remote worker or for religious reasons.

They are considering this same mandate for employers under 100 people BTW.

I think it is a terrible idea to suggest to someone to commit a felony. Fight the shite or find new employment.

My mindset about it was more of I don't think I need it, rather than being concerned about side effects of it. Because of that, I ended up just getting it. I wasn't "forced" to do it, but my two main clients require it, and if I have to go onsite I wouldn't want to be put in a situation where I have to pass on that opportunity, and put my firm in an awkward situation.

Its coming for EVERYBODY. They have to do it incrementally to increasingly marginalize the holdouts. You decide now, you want to fight this or are you ok with being Australia?

I have and actually have an interview tomorrow but it's pretty clear that this administration isn't going to stop with just this mandate so I'm not sure that moving on will even fix anything long term.

For those who do - I hope this is your retirement plan, because I don't know what other employers out there are hiring people refusing the vaccine.

My company will lose 30-40% of its employees if it pushes this.

This is mostly where I stand and I actually told my employer last month in a survey that I may would take it if I had to but I'm having a change of heart just based on the principle of the thing.

This might buy some time. Eventually they will have to scale these authoritarian stances back. I hope so at least.

There may be consequences though.

More & more employers are going to start requiring it. Think long & hard about it before jumping ship because you may be in this boat again down the line.

If I have a position open and the person is qualified, I'm hiring them vaccinated or not. I'm also not going to include it in my policy either way. Most of my employees are vaccinated, and there's a couple I'm not sure about. I'm also not going to ask, because I really don't care.

I’m vaccinated and my employer hasn’t said shite about this yet, but I’m not getting that fricking booster. No way no how save for a mutation that I’ve read enough data about to determine it’s an actual threat to me. I’m debating whether to hand over my vaccine card or not, but I would not be bullied into this if I already had Covid and wasn’t vaccinated.

I think it's entirely logical for people to do what they have to in order to avoid persecution by an authoritarian state.
