Remember, McElwain left Bama for head job at Colorado St and then hired by Florida as a sure thing.

Napier has been better at ULL

Plus McElwain’s issue is he was a prestyle HC at a time when that style was finally getting phased out.

McElwain is not a strong head coach. Poor management skills. A little like O in that area but much worse. I don’t think you can say that about Napier. His teams have dominated the Sunbelt. They are playing tonight against a pretty good Georgia State team that almost beat Auburn.
