I have a good feeling it’s Jimbo

I can discount info pointing to other coaches but signs pointing to Jimbo all seem to line up.
Not saying he’s my first choice, just that it seems to be Woody’s.
Eff it.
Let’s ride.
“Welcome Home Jimbo!”

Why the hell would you want Jimbo?

Might as well rehire Les

put jimbo at the top of the list of coaches, who if hired by lsu, would make my golf game improve during saturdays.

One of only four active coaches to win a natty.
Highly ranked year after year with mediocre talent and coaches.
Beat Bama.

Not saying he’s my first choice, but I could see the pursuit of him and that all the signs point to him

I don’t want him, but also hearing it’s Jimbo

No it’s not.
Can we just shut this board down for a month and a half?

I mean it would be hard to melt, it just doesn’t feel like the right hire for LSU. In 2015-16 I would have been down with it, but not in 2021
I have major concerns with his offense and offensive philosophy. And also concerned about a potential 8-10 year guarantee… I don’t think any coach should ever get that long guaranteed, a lot can change in that long a period and you’re stuck if it goes sideways or stale. And a coach who is probably at his last job with that kind of guarantee, what incentive is there to give 110% 24/7?
If he is the hire, I hope I’m wrong

It's not Jimbo and no one cares about your gay feeling for Jimbo.

We know you want Kiffin. You love him.
It’s ok.

I have a feeling you have no idea

Oh boy! Let's throw a shite-ton of cash at a guy whose best team in years barely beat our worst last year.
Jimbo's current contract makes him simply too expensive to even entertain the thought of bringing him to BR.

Jimbo would absolutely crush it at LSU I think. It is a lot easier to win here than Texas A&M and Jimbo is 100x the coach that Les Miles and Ed Orgeron are.
He isn’t my first choice as I feel like a lot of coaches would crush it at LSU, but people melting over Jimbo are fricking ridiculous. His resume is one of the best in college football, he’s a very good QB developer, and a great recruiter.

There’s no doubt he is a very good coach and excellent recruiter, I just don’t know if he has the potential to win another title in modern CFB.
I don’t think his offense will win championships, and I also question how much drive he would have to put in 24/7 110% effort if he’s guaranteed 10 years and it’s basically his last job before retirement
To your point, he absolutely is miles better than our previous 2 coaches, but that can be said about just about every candidate being discussed
I’d personally prefer a younger coach that hasn’t been to the mountain top yet.
