Am I remembering this correctly, or am I just making it up in my head?

Wasn’t it a thing, that Les Miles didn’t have good relationships with former players, and that he wouldn’t let them around the team and program? Or am I just making that up?

Thinking back before O, I don’t remember former players being as engaged in the program as they are right now.

Miles shunned former players. They didn't like him at all.

And none ever came back. Ever. Not a single one.

I had some former players tell me that personally circa 2006-2008. With Saban they had a ton of access to facilities and staff. Miles took it away and the players I talked to back then were bitter about it.

O did a lot of things right. This is one of them. I hope the next coach gets that right AND wins big consistently.

Serious question. Was it his former players he didn’t let come around or just Saban’s?

Ryan "Cluck" Clark , yea I know that dude. He likes to hear himself talk. Never much good about those that don't look like him or have a different opinion then he does. Kind of a labron kinda guy.

Hey why not be constructive and positive, your dogma has got OLD.

OBJ got to be on the sidelines at the NCG. That worked out well. Probation is cool.

You’re right; I can’t say that, mainly bc I can’t even pronounce “auit”.

That’s because Miles’ players were playing in the NFL and were busy…

When O was named interim one of the first things he did was open up the door to former players. I believe his for his first home game he invited all former players to participate in the Tiger walk which many did.

While his motive was probably to get former players behind him being named permanent head coach, it was still a pretty cool gesture.

Its hard to take stuff like this seriously with a coach who gave LSU football stability for 12yrs.

Opinions without accountability - that's what really steams me.

Giving opinions about play on the field is his job.

Giving opinions on socio-political aspects of players or teams, really is not, but...if you do it's your duty and job as a professional to go to the person you are giving that opinion about and let them have their say. To my knowledge Ryan Clark never did any such thing, be it with Brees, O or whoever else he may have openly tarnished in that realm with his opinions.
