Vietmeier 2IP 2H 1er 5K
Fontenot,G. 2IP 2H 2er BB 3K

Collins left game in the top of the second inning with an injured hamstring. He was on crutches at the end of the game.

There was alot of switching positions for the infielders as there was last night. I might not have gotten all of the swaps recorded.

I sat with Cheerwine today and we talked more than I usually do. If I made any mistakes, I'll blame them on him.

Weather was warm and muggy with a 10mph south wind.

Scuba, what about Thompson—did he play SS for Purple?

Wait, Trent Vietmeier is returning? He was great last year. This 2022 team is loaded.

Hilliard still got it. I’m sure we’ll need him at some point this year.

Thompson has really looked smooth at SS. He’s a really nice piece there and in the bottom 3rd of the lineup.

Me too. Anyone that ever picked up a BB could see the raw talent that kid has.

Thompson was rated way up there coming in. Not quite as high as Crews, obviously, but damn high. Perplexing that he started last year on the bench.

Kid has a lot of pop for his size. He’s one of my favorites on the team.

Thompson could have played in the field for an inning or two but he did not bat. They were running players in and out and switching positions every inning.

Collings struggle some with control before the injury. D. Fontenot and Vietmeier looked very good to me. Hilliard was his usual and G. Fontenot didn't look too bad.

It took an inning for Hilliard to find his groove but after that, he was good.
