[quote]wonder if they will pipe the CO2 up to Mississippi. Tons of CO2 flood oil field that utilize CO2 injection wells.[/quote
I don’t think gas lift is permanent sequestration. It’s produced with well fluids and processed through a facility. I’ve designed artificial lift, but never actually followed the process through the facility.
It’s probably injected into all the abandoned and unplugged wells in the state.

CO2 is seeing great use for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects. Class VI deep well injection is another option once the EOR route dries up.

Just wish AP would start to build up the infrastructure to keep up with the growth
Didn't AP vote down a local tax to fund roads? Seems like you guys don't really want it.

I was at a plant site on Tuesday where there is a huge dry ice manufacturing plant going up, to use the CO2 produced. All of the dry ice is contracted to Amazon, the nation's largest consumer of dry ice
Nice.
Maybe AP can parlay that into some kind of cold storage DC for Amazon.

That cluck has zero to do with where this plant is built.

Anyone know where this is going? Air Products has a lot of property in Ascension already. I'm guessing Geismar, but they also have something out near the old Shell refinery off highway 70.

See my post a few above
Now we need to get the Convent refinery back up, which means Shell needs to sell that thing to someone who will use it.

They will get tax credits for CO2 sequestration and the dry ice will evaporate as CO2 into the atmosphere

Plant will be near impala

Stones throw away, well across the river, from CF
Posted on 10/14/21 at 1:44 pm to MikeD
Isn't CF doing something similar with blue hydrogen or ammonia?

Must have some customers footing the bill. When does take or pay clause kick in?
