Great opportunity to view the ISS flying over Louisiana

Traveling at 17,500 mph and roughly 250 miles above earth

First time I have ever looked for it. My 8yr old was very excited. Was pretty cool to see it with him.

So...... We can see the low orbit "space station" at around 235 miles above earth. Yet we can't even hardly make out a jet airliner at night time from 7 miles up.... Yea okay......
