My 12yo daughter and I have been watching it for years. Every time I see the post in here we make it out to see it. Still amazing to her enough to get her off of her iPad, and run outside with her dad to watch it.

Glad y’all got to see it, especially the young ones. You can go to the website and get text notifications when it’s near your location.

Space Station viewing tonight around 7:35pm
So...... We can see the low orbit "space station" at around 235 miles above earth. Yet we can't even hardly make out a jet airliner at night time from 7 miles up.... Yea okay......

Thank you for posting. I read this, looked at my little appy doodle, and ran outside and caught it before it faded away. Good stuff.

Awesome. Hang onto those moments, our boys are 13 and 16….they grow up so fast.

This is an incredibly bad take. You do realize that it is over a football field in size and has a shite ton of solar panels that reflect the sun’s light at all times. That is what makes it so bright in the sky. It is extremely easy to see.
A jet airliner is not far enough up to have sunlight on it and it’s lights are not very bright in comparison.

I’m waiting for his reply saying something like, how is it gonna have sun reflecting off the solar panels when it’s dark outside lol

Venus is bright af out there tonight
Sure was. At one point I thought it was an aircraft until I could tell it wasn't moving.

Was that what I was seeing in the SW sky?

Saturn and Jupiter are also.
Look more towards the south and east right after sunset.

I take it you're not as bright as a typical space station eh?
