I think displaying a statue of George Floyd is just one of the millions of idiotic things are society currently finds as acceptable. He is the very definition of a divisive figure in our current society, much less history.
That said, I do not agree with throwing paint, or defacing the statue in any way. That's not beneficial to anyone. The same as removing all of the other statues over the past 5 years have benefitted anyone.

We have had hundreds of historic statues destroyed and defaced over the last 2 years including some right here in New Orleans. Tell me how many of those vandals were prosecuted????
