So, I might have popped off with my NP thread too early, right?
I've got another one loaded up tho

Concerning “right”:
Actually, it is condescending, and they know it’s condescending.
OR, it’s someone who’s much in need of approval.
No in between.
I wasn’t going to go straight for the accusation of calling these people condescending, but that’s how it comes across. Generally speaking, the ones who do it are people I don’t tend to care for on personal levels. Reminds me of the “academic pause” Obama loved to do. It’s….very purposeful. It’s as if they’re trying to ensure you know they’re the smart one, you are not. Even if that’s not the intention, I wish my colleagues would quit with it because it’s really, really annoying. Moreso than the overuse of literal, amazing, do you know what I mean, etc.
Y’all help me. I’m clearly living on the edge of annoyance and might unmute to lose it on the next “right” presenter.

You have to soften the blow on everything now because people will think you're being aggressive and will whine to HR. If you just come out with demands, it won't go over well. Shouldn't be this way, but it is

It’s Ok and Right where I work.

Again, as you describe it, sounds extremely condescending. I can get away with it as a teacher. I have students who literally are not on my level.
But among peers? C’mon…

The new phrase that makes me cringe is "100 percent" meaning I agree.

Sometimes it's just douchebag specific language. At my work some favorites of these chodes are:
Accordingly
healthy (we had a healthy discussion about this)
Hey
For example, "Sooooooo, if i'm an operator, I'm going to go - Hey, I can do this thing."
I agree with your OP so much, I want to just respond with RIGHT?!?

Just read the posts on this fricking board. Half the threads start with: "So, I'm looking for a new car..." Gay as frick.

A good chunk of these gay arse frickers (redundancy acknowledged) also love starting their sentences with, "I mean..."

“So” doesn’t bother me but “right?” does. It feels like they are trying to bully me into agreeing with them and it makes me want to do the opposite.

Can’t be any worse than the use of “piggyback” and “Tiger Team”.
And the worn out buzzword usage of things like “innovate” and “automate”.
