Well...

quote:

FBI data released Monday in the Uniform Crime Report (UCR) show over three and a half times as many people were stabbed to death in 2020 than were killed with all kinds of rifles combined.

The UCR shows that 454 people were shot and killed with rifles in 2020 while 1,732 were stabbed or hacked to death with “knives or cutting instruments.”

Now ask why they are targeting getting rib of your guns.

Even though it sounds reasonable and likely, I want it to come from a trusted source. FBI can't be trusted for anything.

The government wants to get rid of rifles for the same reason we want to keep them.

Rifles do a great job of keeping an overreaching government in check.

Do they still do that, or is that considered profiling these days?

Nah... let's do Personal weapons (hands/fists/feet/etc.) More deaths by "personal weapons" than those bad ole AR-15s and other rifles combined.

Those numbers would be almost zero if you take out large, democrat controlled cities like LA, Chicago, and Baltimore.

The rifle stats have been relatively constant in the FBI uniform crime report for years. Knives, hands, fists, and feet have taken more lives per year than rifles for decades. However, with the way the FBI is going, I would imagine at some point the data becomes untrustworthy and they also drop race of perpetrator from the stats. It's simply a matter of time.

old news.

More people commit suicide with a hand gun than people shoot people with rifles.
