re: Successful Vaccine Religious Exemptions?

They said the mRNA vaccines don't directly contain aborted fetal matter. My exemption was based on the vaccines being created from (J&J) or tested on (mRNA vaccines) fetal cell lines which came from aborted fetal matter.

I'm applying for other jobs, but I don't mind sticking it to em legally as long as I don't have to sell a kidney to afford legal representation for it.

This is a good read on the vaccine mandates and religious exemptions. It's written more towards the federal crowd, but highlights a few of the significant legal cases pertaining to vaccine mandates.
GovExec Article
As I said before, if a company wants to grant them, they will grant them. If they don't want to grant them, they have every legal standing to not grant them, and past court rulings indicate that a lawsuit would likely go in the company's favor.

My guess is that if you don't know the answer to this then you don't have one.

My cousin (senior management for Walmart corporate) managed to get a religious exemption from them.
No idea how, and I was surprised.

Yes. Employer is accepted them without question. They would lose about 30% of the hospital staff if they didn’t.

Yes

-Provide the name of your religion and when you first began practicing this religion
Christianity, 1997
quote:
-Does your religious belief prevent you from receiving other vaccines or just the Covid vaccines?
It requires me to consult with God daily on all medical and other significant life decisions
quote:
-Have you ever received the flu vaccine?
Not that I can recall
quote:
-Have you ever received any vaccines in the past?
Not that I can recall
quote:
Name the most recent and when you received it
N/A
quote:
-Are there other aspects of your religious belief related to medical care?
As previously stated, daily consultation with God is required on all significant decisions, which would include medical care.
quote:
It seems like they are trying to separate those whose religious views are against all vaccines and medical care and those who are “just against the Covid shot.”
They are but you don’t have to answer the questions the way they are hoping you do. The Christian concept of “universal priesthood” doesn’t require a codified set of beliefs on medical care, it allows the individual believer to consult with God for direction through prayer. If you prayed and received direction from God that you are not to get *this vaccine* at *this time*, that is the religious belief that currently prevents you from getting the vaccine. That could change in the future, you’ll just keep having to check in with God daily.
I would keep my answers brief and to the point but you could include a few Bible verses for reference if you wanted:
Acts 5:29 But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.
Matthew 9:12 But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.
Job 13:4 As for you, you whitewash with lies; worthless physicians are you all.
OK maybe not this one

Wow. I'm at a hospital and mine wasn't that lengthy. You must work for a woke corporation.

This is patently false.
Name religions that are against the pfizer vaccine then.
To my knowledge there arent any besides the christian ones that dont believe in science for healing or whatever.
quote:
Of the major religions practiced in the United States, only the Church of Christ, Scientist (whose adherents are known as "Christian Scientists") and the Dutch Reformed Church are the two religious groups that openly discourage vaccination. Islam in the United States, for the most part, has not opposed vaccination under the principle of necessity, meaning that vaccines are necessary for health, so they cannot be prohibited by religious law.
quote:
At the end of the day, this boils down to the age-old conflict between science and religion. Some religions, like the Catholic Church, have established very clear support for vaccination because the risks of not vaccinating outweigh the religious concerns of using them.

It would be an easy accommodation. "Ok, you're exempt. You must wear a mask, be socially distant when possible, and stay home if you feel sick."

The Patriarchate of Romania. The Moldovans too.

Yeah, we could also do that without mandates.
Oh wait, we did...and Big Brother decided that wasn't good enough.
