The state Department of Children and Family Services received 250 to 350 calls per second on Monday leading to a lot of people hearing busy signals and hours-long waits for those lucky enough to get through.
So that's between 7.2 and 10.1 million calls in an 8 hour workday. That's interesting considering the total population for Louisiana is less than 5 million.

I’d have to imagine some people were responsible for 100s of calls individually.

You think Shaniqua is going to let a busy signal stand betweens her and her benefits? Hell, naw, she is hanging that bitch up and dialing again....

It is Gov't. So....maybe 3 hours of "work". I put it at 2.7 Million to 3.8 Million

LooK up the La Leg Audit on the LA Workforce Comm unemployment fraud that took place post Covid. The same system is used for SNAP/DSNAP. Likely paying out benefits to folks in Nigeria.

Folks in Nigeria are likely doing more work than a lot of the claimants here do.

Still fraud but similar to the joke about the guy's wife having her credit card stolen. He hasn't reported it yet because the guy spends less than she does.

They had that on local news last night.
The lap dog media prints anything the state tells them to print.
I knew that sounded fishy when I heard it.

Shaniqua not only already has her card, but it's been reloaded for "extra" benefits due to the disaster.

These calls are from Karen and Susie and Tifani who go on facebook blasting about "them freeloaders" while trying to do everything they can get their disaster card because "my oil field husband pays taxes damnit, It's time we get something!"
