Biden administration asks Pentagon to send military to border
DEL RIO, Texas — The Biden administration has requested the Pentagon send the military to the southern border to help regain control after thousands of Haitian migrants swarmed over the Rio Grande into Texas.
The admission was the first time Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has confirmed DHS is seeking the Pentagon's help. It comes amid a crisis in south-central Texas, where at least 15,000 migrants illegally crossed by the Del Rio-Acuna International Bridge late last week.
"The approach has been an all-of-federal-government effort and, frankly, an all-of-federal-government effort in partnership with state and local authorities in the civil society. And the Department of Defense is evaluating a request for assistance, and we hope that will come to fruition very shortly," Mayorkas said during a press conference Monday afternoon after touring the area.
A Pentagon spokesman said on Monday the DHS had requested help specifically with transporting migrants from the border to its holding facilities. A Defense Department spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment.

President Trump had this under control and the dumbass biden and his band of leftists idiots stopped President Trump's policies and started tearing down portions of the wall. All this leftists talk of open borders and reversing President Trump's policies invited the unwashed hoards to illegally enter our country. Isn't this what the leftists wanted? Why do anything now? Were they actually so stupid that they couldn't understand what was going to happen?

It sounds like they are going to condemn border patrol and local authorities for mistreating poor illegals.
That's the only thing I can think of..that would make this regime send military to the border. To give safe passage to the illegals.

I'm sure there is some saving face involved, but I bet a lot of it is to control the narrative and get Texas and CBP out of the way in exposing this. If the military is down there they can control information and pictures. Plus the WH gets to look like they are addressing and handling the problem.
Also, why all of a sudden are they finally doing something on the border when the blacks show up by the thousands? This seems racists.

I was kind of expecting the story to be about the Corps of Engineers going down there to build bridges across the Rio Grande to facilitate more rapid border crossings for illegals.
