RIP French Riviera, which is closing this week after 30 years. Far from the greatest place, but pretty cheap and got the job done. The Zoo in Kenner is picking up the memberships, but not really impressed enough to make the drive.

Anytime
The Parks (Lakeview)
Premier
Planet Fatness
Fuel Fitness?
I also heard a rumor they were putting a Club4 in the old Kmart next to rouses on Vets

Any other spots I should BE looking into?

yea drive your arse over to the best bank and hit up westbank athletic club. WAC is best gym in the nola area.

I had a membership at Ochsner Elmwood a few years ago before making a home gym. They had all the machines you could want. Just no power racks. I’m not sure what they’ve added since I left.

What features are you looking for in a gym?

i am a member of premier. i like it but im a simple man. free weights and machines and not crowded and im good to go.

I used to go to UNO. I like their gym just not the needing proof of vaccination.

The best gym in New Orleans used to be NOLA Xtreme Fitness. It was a damn shame they closed.

I used to go to Body Doctors, which had an old school black iron gym feel to it. It wasn't the cheapest, but they had some strong motherfrickers training there.
